Since the inception of the business in the Summer of 2003, A  lot of people have asked us how we got into this very specific service. The answer is pretty simple, it was born out of necessity. I had adopted a mini pig, Lilly the year prior and realized that her hooves needed some attention. Being completely clueless on how to even attempt a hoof trim on a pig, I brought her to an area Vet where she was sedated for the procedure. Needless to say it ended up being a very traumatic experience  for Lilly and myself. 

Lilly fought the sedation and upon recovery she stumbled around and fell over, and flailed! Not very pleasant, I couldn’t imagine having to put her through this horrible sedation on a regular basis. I knew there had to be a better way. In the months that followed I fiqured out that if I flipped her on her back in my lap, that I could easily trim her hooves with no problem. With that Ah – ha moment I started  to advertise my services locally and the rest is history! We have since expanded our services to all of New England and offer hoofcare for goats, sheep, Llamas and Alpacas in addition to our mini pig friends. 

In addendum i thank Lilly for guiding me down the path to this specialty niche in the world. It’s because of her, that we are able to do what we do today.
